Resume verification: a must in your hiring process

According to a research conducted by Economic times, it was found that "1 in every 6 applicant lie on their resume" , providing false information about themselves. It has become a common practice to do so in today’s time. The number gradually increase year by year.


So what can you do as an employer?


You have to get an in-depth background verification including CV verification, it serves as a perfect all-round solution for the problem

Whether it’s fake certificates, salary slips, providing fake references or lying about the pat experience in a firm. They all are serious crimes they could not only cost them their job but also land them behind the bars in order to show something that actually does not exists. Since these practices are becoming common it is very crucial to get to conduct a thorough and all round resume verification. This is the only way you can get the verification that things written are correct and accurate.

It was found that 1.56 percent misrepresented information about their education. Your resume verification process must verify the candidates education qualification presented in the resume.

If an applicant is not the same person he claims to be chances are there that their whole resume can be fake or duplicate. For this their Aadhar, PAN card, Passport, Voter ID all must be checked.

No CV validation process can be complete without verifying all the elements and all aspect of employment. Nearly 12.14 % of all reported job applicants misrepresented the information regarding their employment period, organisations they worked and their performance appraisal records.

 

 

·  Address checks :

In case of any emergency or any kind of fraud takes place you need to catch the applicant and for that you need to have the address of the person and so the verification of the person’s address is very important.  It was found that nearly “6.67% of the people lied in their resume regarding their address” a survey conducted by Economic times.

 

·  Reference checks :

Reference check is very important as applicants today provide false reference letters in order to get a job. So make it a point to always cross check every reference provided in the resume.
